A Perfect Brooklyn City Hall Wedding

Why a Minimum of a 2-Hour Photography Package is Ideal.

Planning a Brooklyn City Hall wedding? It’s one of the most intimate and stress-free ways to tie the knot, but there are a few things to consider, especially regarding photography. Even though you may have an appointment at City Hall, there’s usually some waiting involved. That’s why I highly recommend at least booking a 2-hour wedding photography package for your Brooklyn City Hall ceremony.

Recently, I had the pleasure of photographing Erin and Gonzalo, who chose this package. It was the perfect amount of time. We started the day at Brooklyn City Hall, where we captured all the key moments of the ceremony.

Although we had a scheduled time, we did have to wait for our turn, which is expected at City Hall.

Thankfully, with the flexibility of a 2-hour package, we didn’t feel rushed.

After the ceremony, we had time to head to her hotel—1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge—to capture some beautiful traditional family portraits with the stunning Dumbo skyline as our backdrop. The hotel’s modern aesthetic blended perfectly with the city’s industrial charm, giving the portraits a unique, urban feel.

To wrap up the day, we managed to squeeze in a quick outdoor photoshoot in the Dumbo area. The streets and waterfront near Brooklyn Bridge Park provided the perfect backdrop for capturing candid moments of the couple, with iconic views of the bridge and the Manhattan skyline.

Here’s why I always recommend a 2-hour wedding photography package for a Brooklyn City Hall wedding:

  • You’ll have extra time for any delays. Even with an appointment, there may be some waiting time, and having that extra hour ensures we can capture everything without missing a beat.

  • We covered multiple locations. We could shoot at City Hall, do family portraits in two hours, and still fit in a quick outdoor session.

  • Continuous service. With a dedicated photographer covering your day from start to finish, every precious moment is captured without gaps.

If you’re planning a Brooklyn City Hall wedding, a 2-hour photography package is the perfect way to document your day beautifully, from the ceremony to the portraits and beyond.
