Relaxed Hacienda Siesta Alegre Destination Wedding

One of Puerto Rico's favorite venue for weddings is Hacienda Siesta Alegre, this time it was Katy and Neil's celebration.

Katy and Neil met at salsa lessons so many of their guests danced AMAZINGLY ( check out their reception photos )!

One of the most the moments that stood out for me (as a photographer) was that

Katy and Neil were way more focused on documenting the people around them and their interactions.

Katy did not want detailed photos of dress, rings, shows etc...

Something else she was ok without was

a getting ready portrait session, everything documented during her getting ready was not posed and was 100% organic.

Both Katy and Neil didn't have bridesmaids or groomsmen, interestingly enough Neil didn't have a getting ready session either, I like to make a note of this because sometimes people are very used to seeing

all those traditional photos when browsing for photographers ;) and you won't see it in this specific blog.

I was able to capture more of guests having fun since their couple's portrait session was only 15 minutes because they really wanted to be part of their cocktail hour <3.

I hope you enjoy moments captured, keep In mind your wedding can be whatever you wanted to be.

Traditional or not, as long as it's what you want... Go for it!
